Subject:           2021 SA National Lifesaving Championships Dates and Proposed Program

 

Please be advised that the 2021 SA National Lifesaving Championship will take place from Saturday, 2nd October 2021 – Saturday, 9th October 2021 with the pool events taking place at Newton Park Swimming Pool, PE and the Beach events at Kings Beach, PE; the proposed program is listed below:

Notes:

  • Entry forms will need to be submitted to Head Office by no later than 31st July 2021, payment for entries will be required by the 3rd September 2021. Entry fees will be the same as for 2020 and will be advised with the entry forms.
  • Age for the competition will be determined by the athlete’s age as at 30th September 2020. Athletes will compete in the current (2020/2021) season age group and move up on the 10 October 2021.
  • U14 Nippers that have completed a JLA will have the option to compete as an U14 or U15 but not both.
  • U17 and U19 athletes will not be able to compete as both U17/U19 and Senior but can do either or.
  • The event will be run according to the National and LSA Covid level protocols at the time of event.
  • The 2020 Competition Manual will be applicable for the event.
  • Further information will be sent out with entry forms.
  • Final cut off dates for all awards and retest will be the 23rd August 2021 with the paperwork to reach Head Office by the 6th September 2021.

 

The proposed program is subject to change at the discretion of the Sport Committee to meet the operational exigencies of the Championships.
